Jakarta, LiberTimes–Paijo Parikesit, Director of White Wood Consortium Private Investigation (WWCPI) stated that Muhammad Riza Chalid, a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the management of crude oil and refined products at Pertamina for the 2018 until 2023 period, was detected at Changi Airport in Singapore on Saturday, July 12th, at 2:00 PM Singapore time, en route to Kuala Lumpur. Paijo obtained this information from his international intelligence network.
Investigations revealed that Riza Chalid had already become a Malaysian citizen after marrying a woman from the Sultan of Kedah’s family in Malaysia several years ago. Riza Chalid is also a close friend and business partner of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as confirmed by the White Wood Consortium Private Investigation (WWCPI).
Their connection is linked to a rare earth (REE) mining project in Kedah. However, Anwar Ibrahim and Riza Chalid met with the Sultan of Kedah to discuss the project.
According to WWCPI, Reza Chalid had engaged in negotiations. Despite Riza Chalid’s request to return 150 trillion Rupiah or 9 Billion US dollar , despite the total losses of 287 trillion Rupiah, no agreement was reached. A meeting in Kuala Lumpur (KL) decided that the 150 trillion Rupiah would be used for political campaigns, including the removal of senior officials at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) handling the case and the overthrow of the Prabowo administration if no peace agreement was reached
At the Kuala Lumpur meeting, Riza Chalid refused to compensate the state for the corruption, as between 2018 and 2023, the proceeds of corruption were distributed to political party officials and state officials at the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), state-owned enterprises (BUMN), and Pertamina.
Paijo warned the Prabowo government to be wary of a counterattack by the MRC, which could destabilize Indonesia’s political and economic situation. Prabowo must lobby Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to repatriate Muhammad Riza Chalid and hold him accountable for his actions
It’s no secret that Riza Chalid’s political network within Senayan and the government is very strong. Even Luhut Panjaitan acknowledged Riza Chalid as a close friend. Maroef Syamsudin, the former Deputy Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN), currently the President Director of Mind Aidi, is also the younger brother of Syafri Syamsudin, the Minister of Defense, and is a close friend of Riza Chalid. He also has a network of other large Indonesian mass organizations.
Riza Chalid has an extensive business network. In addition to Global Energy Resources and Petral, he is affiliated with companies such as Supreme Energy, Paramount Petroleum, Straits Oil, and Cosmic Petroleum. With his network, it’s highly possible that Riza Chalid sabotaged fuel and gas supplies in Indonesia, leading to fuel and LPG shortages.
